winxp service pack?

i have two copies of service pack 1 for windows xp.

copy 1 is labeled as service pack 1 and is a 133+mb file my bro downloaded off the net.

copy 2 came from a maximumpc cd labeled as service pack 1a. its a 125+mb file.

which is which?

i mean which is the real thing?

at what time did you download the service pack? there is two different verisons. the final verison which you get from ms is service 1 A

The difference is that the Window XP service Pack 1a doesnt include Microsoft Virtual Machine. If you have JAVA VM installed then use Win Xp SP1a.
