Dos expert please help.
Hi, I would like to create a directory with current date.
Using dos command prompt
Anyone know whats the command ??
what i mean is example : c:\directory 26-12-2003 when ever the date is today.
Need to know this as i can't use the explorer because I am doing it in a batch file.

Whitch version are you using, the commands can differ depending on the version. Also will this be working with a windows OS(Explorer)?

Got this command from somewhere else.
Works fine on my winxp machine but not win98... any idea ?
for /F %%i in ('date /T') do set TODAY=%%i

Are you saying you want a command to make a directory who's name is the current date, what ever the date happens to be?
For example, if the command was run in a batch file tommorrow the directory would be
27-12-2003?

We need more information. Is this a one-off thing or something you want to script or what?
You also have to remember if you're using DOS and not a DOS prompt in Windows that DOS has a limit of 8 characters for directories as well as files.
