OMG!!! I recieved a ATI 9600 and the card inside isnt even a 9600 or im going insane... Ive looked at pictures, read articles, and evrything: nothing compares with the card I recieved. Please help me confirm if its a 9600 or not. IT has a heat sink,no fan, its monitor, plug is in on the bottom, rather than the top, and it has no secondary power supply E.G the ones for hard drives. PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS!!!!!!!!!!

No fan? Sounds like its not a 9600 to me. Sorry about that.

EDIT: Hmm, 9600s dont have fans...who'd a thunk it? I guess I was thinking of the Pro and XT.

How about a little more info? Brand, where you bought it and the exact markings on the box. A pic would be nice.

look on the card itself and it should say something, or look on the chips and post the model number.

where did the card come from? online site?

Well the box is a 9600 one and I installed it and the drivers and everything seems to be working... but the looks of the card are nothing of what ive seen posted throughout the internet ill take a pic of it ok(should be a couple mins)oh yeah i think my mom bought it at best buy

I noticed a lot of Sapphire Radeon 9600's don't have a fan.

All the non pro 9600s dont have fans except for this one.

Only a few 9600's and 9600SE's come with a fan. Only when you jump to the XT model will most of them come with a fan.
