help me find a new hard drive and controller card, $182 is the limit.

As the title sais, I am in need of a new hard drive as my current 108gig(3 drives total) is running out fast and only have a few gigs free. My limit is $182 max, not a dollar over(Need to save money to take parents out to a dinner to thank them)

I also need a controller card, i think a single ide will be enough. Once I get the new drive I will have 6 total things that will require an IDE connection. So If i got a single channel ide controller, i will be able to put two devices on it right? Like a channel on the motherboard?

The hard does not have to be fast. I just want it to last a long time, it will be holding a lot of important data on it(ANime anyone?) . It can be 5400rpm just as long as it won't crash after only a few months of working. Also, i want at least 200gig.

An easy to setup controller card would be nice as well.

Thanks,
-Biz

There is also the option of getting a 250gig and getting the controller card later. I can put it in the place of my 8gig drive.

EDIT: posted ahead of me. I have a 40gig WD and am happy with it. But the 200gig didn't get good reviews. I will wait and see if anyone proves that is wrong or not.

don't order a harddrive online . just get it locally . you can always get a 200gb hd for about 100$ or less after the rebate from like best buy , officemax/depot or staples .

I believe that both are the same ... the cheaper one is OEM and the other one comes with a package (manual, CD and stuff ..)

But in performance and feature they are identical.

yeah, but look at the money i have to pay up front, and not to mention how long the rebate takes to get.

If I do go the 250gig route, wich brand would be the best for that?

EDIT: nvm, noticed that they were over my budget of $182.
