Just post your tips...like how to get a faster car. What car u recommend etc.

My Tips

1. I recommend getting a car with really good traction in the beginning. I started out with the Mazda Miata. It doesn't have very high top speed or accel. but it has awesome handling.

2. In the drift mode don't use the e-brake. Just swing around the corners and learn to let off the gas so u don't hit the walls. Practice and u will get good at it. When I first started I had 7,500 and I thought I was kicking a*s. Now I am getting about 100,000 min. (Sure there will be more posts like....well I get this much )

3. In the drags try to get perfect shifts etc. I always try to get behind the guy that is really fast to draft off of him. It works really well. If u can't beat somebody in the drag mode....here is my recommendation - this is only with a drag mode with minimum cars - cut in front of the fastest car right off the bat. Then hold down the look behind u key/button and keep cutting in front of him. .

4. Don't constantly restart if u wreck. It helps if u go through once anyways to get a feel for the track. If it is a 3 or 4 lap race and u wreck in the first lap u still have plenty of time to catch up.

Use manual transmission if you got a joypad that has 2 buttons on top or at the back.

I got a joypad with 2 buttons on the back, and i drive faster with manual transmission then with automatic, it takes sometime to get it working right, but when you do..

Shifting goes really fast, and you will have to shift a lot, but manual is much better then automatic.

The miata is 1 of the best cars in the game, and certainly is the best to begin with.

My best drift was 78k... mind you that this 1 drift, not the whole event... i was quite sweaty, and i was kinda happy that it finally stopped, because if you go against the wall with such a score hurts pretty bad.

I had a score of 250k ish totall that round, i also had 5 star rank, so i got lots of extras.

Also, dont restart when you see the first guy pass the finish line, becuase even if you lose, you still get style points in the end. So run it through and restart when you've crossed the finish line. This is really handy on drift courses

okay, bought this game...having problems with it...
graphic wise on the main menus everything is blurry, can't see the titles, like the upgrades or even when it starts it seems blurry, everything in blocks...seems like the need for speed underground logo is all blurred out etc...? When i race its clear...real good graphics, its just the main menu and startup screens that are all messed up...!!!

Have u tried re-installing?? I have it for Xbox so I can't help u a lot. If I had it for computer I would look through the options but I can't. GL anybody else know what the problem could be?

I uninstalled it and just now reinstalled it...getting pretty mad..the main menus "the words" are either blurred out or blocks....the main game works but when i do graphic updating to car it will say lightning but above it it's just a blur...can't tell what anything is???

no...just bought it at comp usa...brand new...

graphics are great except can't read words or maps, etcetcetc

anything that has to do with words, likewhen you start a race it puts up a pic and has words under it i can't read...all blurred out and when it post your points you earned after a race...the words are all blurred out,,, like blocks...???only thing that works is the graphics on the cars and the city etc.

For drift racing use the WRX the AWD handling makes for extremely easy to control.

On some of the races when you first start you can push 1 or 2 cars into another street and stop them in their tracks giving you a big lead.

On tracks that have tricky curves and you are right behind another car, save all your Nitrous for when the computer slows down to make the turn when you make the turn hit the nitrous and hold it until you pass them.

I found in drag mode it is best to hit the nitrous right after you shift to second and get to 5th or 6th gear ASAP without short shifting while blocking the fastest car from passing.

Use heavy traffic to your advantage.. if you are behind use nitrous to boost through traffic because this is where the computer normally slows down in confusion to avoid traffic.
