No Sound Outlook 2000
Outlook will not play the new mail notification sound. Outlook mail preferences are set up properly. The Display Notification and Play A Sound are both checked in preferences. In Control Panel\Sounds, the sound I wish to play does appear when I highlight New Mail Notification. It plays when I push the button to test the sound. If I select a different sound, it will also play when I push the test button. Browsing to the location of the sound and re-importing the sound does not help.
If I send myself a message the sound will play when the first message is received. Subsequent messages are silent. If I change the sound in control panel, the new sound will play when the first message is delivered. After that it is silent.
