Router Troubles

Can't believe im talking in this. Anyways I got a Microsoft Router system for christmas. Its a 4 port Wireless-B Base Station MN-500 with a wireless port on it. The trouble is that my computer won't read the eithernet. I have a Dell, and I noticed that my cable modem now is hooked up on a USB port. I was wondering what you all think is wrong. Maybe I need a Eithernet to USB adapter?

Let's see ....

Cable modem plugs into the base station

Base station plugs into the ethernet adapter on your computer.

Other computers need a wireless USB or PCI adapter.

Is this how you have it?

Ok, according to this http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/br...s.aspx?pid=003

It has 4 ethernet ports, so he doesnt need wireless in his desktop.

Make sure your PC is set to auto everything in TCP/IP.

Do you get a link light on the NIC and on the router?
