Computer engineering advice

Hey all, I am attending R.I.T for a degree in computer engineering technology. However, I think I would rather do computer engineering, as I want to design new stuff; thing is, I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of graduate degree one would go for if they graduate with a degree in computer engineering technology. The computer engineering technology degree program here is 5 years and you can also get a combined BS/MS degree with BS in computer eng. tech and MS is computer science; but I don't know if I'd wanna do computer science out of computer eng. tech is the thing; also, I was wondering who in the long run will make more money?? R.I.T. says their comp. eng. technology grads usually have some of the highest starting salaries after graduation (of all their students) but computer engineering does to, I believe. But for bigger money, you need an MS; computer engineers usually get an MS in electrical engineering, computer science, or computer engineering. But computer engineering tech people?? Other than computer science, I have no idea. So I am very confused right now. Computer engineering is a lot more math because it's more theoretical, however I am taking the reg. calculus and university physics so I can transfer to comp. eng. if I decide to. But, I mean, ARGH...this is hard to get to the point with....I just don't know which I want, computer eng. tech or computer engineering. I love computers, they are my calling, but I don't know which degree is my calling. I guess I'm just asking for all your opinions and/or basic feedback on this subject, in case any of you out there are computer engineers or computer engineering tech people.
Thanx

sounds to me that you need to talk to a career counseler
to help you set up your path to meet your goals.

Well, I would, except I know everything pretty much about these two majors; I don't have any goals is the real problem; I am just in pursuit of knowledge. After graduation, I'd probably get a job as a programmer. My goals in the computer major I choose are just to do well and learn a lot; I think, however, that I would like computer engineering better, because you have to take Computer Science 1 - 4, Assembly Language Programming, Hardware Description Languages, and also VLSI (Very Large Scare Integretion) courses. The only killer is all the math and science; computer engineering technology however I would be taking the same amount of math and science is the thing and after graduation I'd probly want to do graduate work, which would require courses of the difficulty of the standard engineering degree. So maybe I will just switch to computer engineering. Yeah, in 5 years, we'll probably be using computers that have like 2 GB of RAM, 6 - 8 gigahertz of speed maybe???? Intel just created a new type of transistor which would allow microprocessors built from it to operate at 20 Ghz (by the way, I know ghz isn't the soul determining factor of a computer or a microprocessor's speed). Peace out all and merry X-mas.
