OC'ing radeon 9100 .. help!

hey, i got a program that lets me raise the "core" and the "memory" for my radeon 9100... the numbers for both the core and the memory were both at "249.50" and i raised it to "265.50" and now i am getting 15 fps more than i was previously.. my question is, am i raising the power too high?.. and if not, how much more do you think I could safely raise it

I set it back to the bios setting which were "249.50" just to be safe until I hear your guys opinions... its a visiontek xtacy 9100 128mb ddr (i dont have agp so its a pci card).. and its on a emachines t3100

thanks in advance!
~danny

"too high" would probably just be when it is running too hot and locking up or when it is showing artifacts and other distortions etc.

You would probably have to think about cooling options etc if you wanna keep the overclock....then again, a few % overclock is no big deal as far as being stressful.

I had a 9000 pro I OC to 300 on the core (with a larger fan) and 270 on the memory. I would go up in small steps until the display starts screwing up and then just back it down some. When I OCed I used 3dmark03 to watch my progress and check for artifacts.

You should start seeing problems with the display before you do any serious damage to the card.
