CoolerMaster Jet7 CPU cooler.

I just got a CoolerMaster Jet7 CPU cooler in from Newegg and was wondering if anyone else has used one. It is huge! Barely fits as it sets right up against the power supply. I have it put on a Biostar M7NCD motherboard, AMD XP2500+, 1GB(2-512MB) sticks of Kingston HyperX PC3500, inside a Raidmax 278WBP case, with an Allied 400 watt PSU. Plan on setting the FSB to 400MHz.

I'll try and get those temps posted in the next couple of days as soon as I'm finished building it completely. Plan on using Arctic Silver 5 by the way. The intake faces down and draws air in from below. The rear is what rests against the power supply so it can be trimmed down.

I may have an unclockable XP2500+ CPU. The temps were 55C at first but settled into 44C after a day(AS5). I attempted to OC to XP3200+ speeds but was unable to boot into Windows. Just clocked down from 400fsb to 333 fsb and it booted just fine. Clocked down the Kingston HyperX RAM from 200 to 166 to run in sync. Upped the timings from 2-3-3-8 to 2-2-2-6. Temps seemed fine but my board also has no CPU voltage adjustments in the BIOS. Probably could have used a little more juice. The Jet7 cooler is fine but is way to big IMHO. It bumps against the power supply and may not be making perfect contact with the CPU core. I may take it out, trim it down in the back and try again. I do have to say that it's the most spectacular cooler I have seen though. The front white LED light flashes and the rear red LED light is constant. I think for future builds I will use the Vantec AeroFlow as it fits better and performs just as well if not better. For the extra $20.00 I paid over my Vantec AeroFlow for this CoolerMaster Jet7 I would expect a better fit. Otherwise I can't complain as it just looks so amazing. I doubt it would fit in a MicroATX or SFF case as it is so tall and long. Should fit in any standard MidATX without any problems though.

i think the slk947u is a very good cooler as i took my 2600+ barton to 11x200 and my temp is stable at ~30C (idle)

I just ordered one today, because reviews said it was good, and I was looking for a HSF that can be easily removed when I do a review later on in the future. Because I was going to get the ThermalRight heatsink that has the heatpipes, but I went against that.

Is that at full load? Because that sounds a bit high even at that. I'm using my 2500+ stock hsf with the stock thermal pad and I'm getting 44C when I'm at full load in a 72 degree F(i don't know my C conversions) room and 36C idle.
