Portable mini MP3 players

Hi all,
I'm planning on getting a mini MP3 player ... Like the one in the attached photo or another ...

Just one question, should the sound quality be the same (or near) the quality of CD?

Please give me your opinion if you used or had used one before..

Thank you

Edit> BTW most of my MP3 songs are 128KBPS ...

What are you using to rip? At 128 kbps, and probably using a crappy program like Musicmatch, your CD's are laughing uncontrollably at the crappy quality of your MP3's.

I rip using EAC and EasyLame, at 320 kbps and --alt preset insane.

The sound quality will not be terrible, but you will definitely hear the difference between the MP3 and CD. If you are going to use el-cheapo headhones with it, you will not hear any difference what-so-ever.
MD1032- In all honesty and fairness, do you think before you type? If he's getting a mini MP3 player, chances are pretty good that he's not getting a 2Gb+ CF card to keep 320K tracks on.

Kc2iLq> thank you for the input ...
I will be using this instead of my MD .. well, if the sound quality of MP3 player is better than a Cassette player then it would be enough for me ... i'm in no way a sound guru

MD .. i know the quality difference between 128KBPS and 320KBPS MP3 songs .. but that wasn't my question .. thanx anyway.

i heard somewhere that cd quality was equal to a 128kbps mp3 on a portable cd player and cassete and radio are around the quality of a 24kbps mp3

i dont remember where that is from though or if it is reliable
