Recommended ram brand?

Most of the time circuit city and best buy have some decent rebate sales on ram (kingston pc2700 256MB - $30). This week they have the same thing but only brand's "Centon" and "K-Byte". The ram would be going into a new Asus A7N8X Non-dlx with a brand new AMD 2500+. Should I wait until next week? Or are these name brands?

I usually only buy Kingston, Mushkin, or Cruical. Depending on the current price of RAM.

I have made it a personal goal to not let anyone I know buy computer parts from Best Buy or Circuit City. Unless, of course, it's on sale, or employee discount.

Kingston is good RAM. I've used it before and never had a problem with it. I prefer Crucial RAM in my own machine. The other two you mentioned in your first post I've never tried.

Well I need to order some things from SVC anyways, I'm deciding on a 256mb stick of

OCZ PC3200 http://store.yahoo.com/svcompucycle/oc400256p.html
OR
"Original" Samsung PC3200
http://store.yahoo.com/svcompucycle/orsapc4025dd.html

Since the Samsung is on the Asus A7N8X DDR 400 table (http://usa.asus.com/mb/socketa/a7n8x/A7N8Xqvl.htm) I wanted to jump to buy it, but it says
Quote:
These Samsung original DIMMS are manufactured by Samsung, using their own 6-layer PCB. In the past, the supply of these units has been sporadic and unreliable.
:Uneasy:

I looked then to buy the OCZ PC3200, but it's not on the DDR400 table. Can anybody shed light on either ram?

EDIT
Also was looking at this: Kingston PC3200
http://www.buyxtremegear.com/kin3200256.html

I've had good experiences with Kingston, so I'm opted to buy this......when going back to double check on the asus ram table, it says
KVR400X64C25/256

Buyxtremegear's site says
KVR400X64C3/256

Does that matter? (BTW, i did the bold, not the websites)
