do a search on the HP website. the owners manual that HP packs w/their machines never show the nitty gritty stuff like jumper settings.

go here http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

get this after u search, lol http://h20015.www2.hp.com/hub_search...&lang=en&cc=us

The only manuals I saw were for modems..? lol

I know there are some support forums though and they usually have lots of info about upgrades etc and sometimes diagrams....

u check asus site?? sometimes the boards are the same name except for the last letters...like an HP cuw-am might just be an asus cuw.

uhh, id be real nervous flashing an oem board like that....we werelooking at that dudes HP cuw-am board the other day and it specifically said dont use asus bios for it...cuz it is different somehow due to oem differences.

I think youd need to get the bios from HP..not from asus..cuz you can see the name isnt an EXACT match.

lol..no way to turn it off in the bios?

Usually there is an option but sometimes its worded sort of "backwards"....like "enable boot diagnostics" just means "dont show splash, show regular bios screen" lol.
