POWER and SYSTEM fan failure!

when i enter the BIOS of my gigabyte GA-8IEX 845E mobo, it tells me that both my system fan and power fan are running at 0rpm. It also tells me this in Easy Tune IV which came with my mobo. It displays this as a WARNING!!! and then flashes both system fan and power fan at 0rpm. is this a big deal? how can i fix it? will it cause any major damage to my system??

Can you see or hear if they're running?

The fans probably dont have the signal wire to supply the info---are both fans 2 or 3 wire?

check your fans if they have that speed detect wire (yellow color wire or other color aside from black and red) attached to the mobo header for system fan.

so then it lacks the speed detect wire.. the two wires are for the supply voltage for the fan. to get rid of the error, do not connect the two-wire fan to the mobo header. attach it directly to the PSU connectors.

You have to disable the power and system fan alarms in BIOS if you have no fan hooked to them.

It's pretty hard to plugg a 2 wire plugg on a three wire MB fan header.
