Hello ,
Sometimes when i go to get on the internet , my home page loads and then goes away . i thought it might be because of zone alarm , icq or instant messenger running , but its not .Can someone please tell me why this happens?

define what you mean when you say " it goes away"

If you are running a pop-up blocker that could be the cause.

Exactly what's happening?

OS, IE version, hompepage etc.

Describe the event. May be a page hijack.

Ok , I turned off Zone alarm . I cant get on the internet unless i use AOL. I try to go to my home page , it loads and then goes away , shuts down the site .

Im using XP ........I should be running Linux, But I don't have a clue , im doing alot of reading here about it . Thanks to everyone , im almost ready to install it .Maybe I will try and install opera!

so you dial up into AOL and you can surf the web?

linux wont help you out in this situation.

No I have a cable modem , my home page is www.yahoo.com
Its not yahoo , its something that I cant figure out .

sounds like your broswer's been hijacked and is going to a site that closes it out.
