Garbled picture

i just upgraded my graphics card to a nvidia chipset abit geforce 4 ti 4200, my problem is when i now run some high end games, there are tiny, squares randomly scattered over the screen and they range in color from black to white with varing shades of grey. I have never had a problem like this before and have no idea what could cause it. Any help would be appriciated.

Did you try installing the newest Nvidia drivers?

maybe you do not have a good enough cooling in your case and it is causing the card to overheat and make artifacts?

i have exactly the same issue.

some games work fine... some work for a while, but eventually the artifacts appear , the screen gets garbled, and the pc sometimes reboots itself
