i have been serching the web for days trying to find a speakerphone software that i can use. What i want to do is talk through my mic and hear in speakers. Do any of you know of a program that i can do that with and that is Free ?

I saw this the other day...Im not sure you even need software....are you talking about like for yahoo or msn chat type stuff??

I dont think you need software for a mic..just hook it to the mic jack and talk thru it...the sound will come out the speakers....you might have to adjust the vol slider or even add the volume slider for the mic in jack. to "add" vol sliders in w98se its right click vol icon, open audio controls, options, properties.

But yeah it might cause feedback depending on the vol and mic placement etc....then again compaq makes monitors with the mic built right onto the front top of the monitor (fs740 etc).

Usually you use a headset/mic for chat type situations..to keep it from feeding back.

No not that, i mean to make telephone call through your house line, but through ur computer, using the mic and the speackers.
