I didn't know anything about overclocking when I got my current gear and now I'm stuck with it.
However if I were to build a PC today for overclocking I would use the Asus A7N8X Deluxe and the 2500+. I know of several people who are getting 3200+ speeds with that setup. |
I looked in that direction myself for a while. But then I ran across this.

Nearly same same for both boards but the biostar goes up to a 3200++
At $126.99 for motherboard and xp2400+
Then you look at the asus a7n8x

At $119.99 for just the board.
Mind you I'm trying to build the most buget minded machine that will get the job done. I set my target price at $600 USD based on a machine at $1000 (USD). I got my Powmax 80A 400 watt case this week.

For $53 including shipping and handling I couldnt resist it.
Let me know if you get a chance to look at the two boards side by side and let me know how you think they compare. I'ts always good to have some fresh eyes look at it and maybe see if I'm missing something.
