newegg taxing now?

I havent ordered anything from newegg in about a month and I went to order a new case a few minutes ago and low and behold tax was added to it is this new or did I just not read through the whole thing nevertheless I did not order it because I loath paying taxes. I hope this is not the case for I think it will ruin internet business for me. merry christmas to all

What states must pay sales tax?

Orders shipping to California, Tennessee and New Jersey must be charged sales tax based on the county's rate. Newegg.com now operates business from locations in CA, TN and NJ to better service our customers across the United States.

In the past two days I have purchased a processor and a mother board from them. NO Tax added to orders.

No I am in tennessee I guess all of my new orders will be from elsewhere. Why would I want to get used to it is bunk like most taxes. Why shop online anymore when I can get the same thing at a local store for nearly the same price immediately. I had no idea newegg operated in Tennessee Do you know where at I am curious and it must be very new cause like I said I ordered something from them about a month ago and payed no sales tax.
But at least we do not have an income tax yet. Knock on wood.

Best i can understand they have a place in Memphis now, shipping facility or something. Tennesee and NJ now taxed. Oh well, other good ones out there. Try axiontech

Yep, I just ordered a crap load from there, and I was shocked to see they didnt tax me. Lucky to be a Quaker I guess.
