I have a NEC Notebook that I just acquired and at boot up I get a
red tag saying that it can't find a save to disk and that I need to create a new file with PHDISK. My question is do I need it and if so, how do I dude it. If not, how do I get rid of the red tag at boot up? Thanks for any info!
Do you have a motherboard with Phoenix BIOS? If so, you'll need to use PHdisk to set up a special partition to save information on so that your computer can "hibernate" (depending on the O/S you're running). Could be the result of someone adding more memory to the computer, O/S upgrade, ect.... More information can be found here: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000348.htm
