Of the two, neither. Wha? you ask...
Both the 9000 and the 5200 preform horridly by even last year's mid-range standards. I highly suggest getting a Radeon 8500, 9600m or a GF Ti 4200, 4600, or 5600(not the leaf blower model).
Whichever fits your budget. The 4x00 and 8500 cards are older cards, so no DX9, but the general performance is better with these cards than with the 9000 or the 5200.

calm down....don't have a hissy fit
The Radeon 9000 is likely faster, but can only do DirectX 8 games (which is fine for most games these days).
The GeForce FX 5200 is slower, but can do some DirectX 9 effects (but even most DX9 games will run with a DX8 card but may not look as nice).
I would get the FX 5200. But if you can afford, i would do as redfury suggested, get a ti4200....much better card than both of them.

Between the 9200 and 5200, the 5200 is faster, but the 9000 isn't comparable because it only supports DX8.

MSI FX5200 128 bit 128mb OR the Radeon 9000 PRO 128mb | I said what I did because neither card is a good value. You wanted an opinion, and I gave mine. Sorry if you don't like it.
Out of these two cards, the 9000 the better card in case you were wondering.
And yes, I am perfectly litterate.

sorry Redwolf, my bad, thanks for ur opinion, i still think Ill get a 5200 because its EXTREMELY cheap, and all I wanna do is play CoD, and if the 5200 and 9000 PRO are ABOUT equal, ill get the 5200 cause my frend got a 9000 pro, and it works great, thanks all, keep replying

as you can see, the opinions on these cards are differing. Just get whichever is cheaper, because in the end, you are going to get about the same results from either card.
EDIT: good call on CoD
How much is a ti4200 in canada?
