Kids DELL inspiron 8000 problems

In work I have some problems so please read the following and answer me.
1. Powering on - when I press power button three leds (caps, num, scr) and power lights up and after short time they power
down. After 10-15 times it powers up - what shoud be the problem. Dell is atached to power cord and if I move all user
removable hardware - floppy, batt etc. same thing is happening - what shoud be problem?
2. In work it gets frozen, also on small move (for example at moving from one to anther desk) it gets frozen. Nothing could
be done except of power down. I dont think it is operating system cause it is happening on every system including old msdos.
Inspiron passed all tests with dell diagnostic except thermal of memory which is 8 and it could be from 10 to 100.
Please help.
Best regards,
Marko

and the second problem is when you move the system while powered up it shuts down?? I'm thinking you need to explain the problem a little more clearly.

I think he means the Power Save/Sleep button on some keyboards. There's been cases in which comp freezes when it tries to power up/come out of sleep that the comp crashes. I forgot the fix to it though. My advice would be to just not use that option.

I know on some other models of Dell laptops there is motherboard fault that causes the system to freeze if you move it AND to have issues starting it up after it's been moved.
