Welcome to the forum!

Hmm, I have worked with 300pl's a little bit and I messed around with changing cpu's etc.

Have you DONE anything to make this happen...I mean like change cpu's or anything??

Have you mady any changes lately to the comp?

There are some settings in the bios..I think they are on the first page of the bios..concerning the cpu...I cant remember what exactly they are but if you look in the bios on the first page you can either tell us what settings are their concerning the cpu..or you can just change them yourself.

The problem I had was when I went to a P3-500 from a P2-450..I was getting a similar error message...then I switched off a setting...seems like it was "processor upgrade" or something like that on the first page of the bios.

Look and see what settings you might have like that....on the lower half of the first page. (but I dont think you need to put it into "compatible" mode...its not that its another setting)

The only other thought is that perhaps the bios battery went dead and you are losing the settings. But look for the settings mentioning the cpu first and see what they are.

Oh wait..the setting might be something like "update processor" or "processor update" etc..since that is the error its giving you....thats sounds like what it was giving me when I went to the P3..so I turned that setting off and it worked fine.
