Outdoors comcast high speed internet-can't download ANYTHING-what's wrong?

I just got internet this morning and I managed to download AVG antivirus, went to download firewall and can't download ANYTHING-what the heck is the problem?????? ANY help is appreciated

Welcome to the forum!

You say you did or didnt get the firewall downloaded? Cuz if you installed the firewall it could possibly be blocking things...but its more likely some setting.

Maybe someone more familiar with comquest will chime in.

Or you could simply call them up, lol.....usually tech support can fix those issues in 3 minutes flat cuz they have heard them all 50 times before.

Did you try turning the cable modem off then on? My Comcast connection is working fine in my area.

Yeah, Comcast is good around the Philly region too.

What OS? What Browser? You say you downladed the antivirus. Am I correct to assume that you can browse but just not download?

Also reboot your system.

1. pwr off modem (wait 20 sec)
2. pwr up modem (let run through self test - until 1st 4 lights are on steady)
3. re-boot system.
