I cant see the words clear

I'm on WindowsXPwith DirectX 9. When ever i try to play need for speed underground it works but i cant see words just little square things and the graphics look weird except for when it first comes on

You should post your vid card and computer specs to get help.
With no info it sounds like too high resalution for your card.

??.... DirectX 8 or 9? R u saying u have 2 comps: 1 with ME DirectX 8, 1 with XP, DirectX9?? And your problem happens on both comps? Post Comp specs Plz
