ok im gonna build a rig for a friend by recycleing the MoBo and CPU from a HP pavilion XT926. heres the question can i flash the Bios to get rid of the HP invent splash on start up?? and where can i find all the drivers for it or should win2k find them just fine?

no, there is very littel you can do with that system

well i can keep the mobo like it is....the drivers should show up find with Win2k though

the only drivers I had a hard time with when installing xo was the sound and the leyboard ones
some reason I could not get them off the recover cd
but other than that it could be a good system still with xp

what did you finally do about the sound??

I installed a sound blaster sound card
but thats not to say you will have the same problem I did
