I'm trying to fly planes in BattleField 1942 and it is very hard! Can someone show me a could setup for flying one with a mouse. BTW Can you get me one for a joystick too? My parents got me one today but said I couldn't buy it from them cause it's too close to Christmas. So I have to wait and get it as a present. Right now I can take off and glide but can dogfight or bomb accurate.

I use a mouse for flying the game. Its not something you can just pick up. It takes time and practice. I say that you just go into an empty server and look for planes and practice on them. If you wanna meet me in a server or try and set something up just PM me. My name is RedArmy or Army2001 for BattleField.

Yeah I know what you mean, it takes a while to get used to. One thing EA should put in as a expansion, is the ability to aim while dropping bombs.

thats one of the reasons i frequented stunt servers for a while.. you can just get in a plane and mess around...

i like having mouse sensitivity all the way up for flying... feels like more control to me... and nice easy movements...

and in dogfights, for slight adjustments, use a and d instead of banking... i garuntee that you will bank too much and lose your man...

Maybe you could do like me and get a 10$ joystick. It takes less time to learn than controlling with a mouse.

Yah, I guess I'll wait for my parents to give me the joystick. They say I'm not allowed to buy stuff this close to Christmas! Except when I was at the movies with my friends I got BF1942 last week.

You should d/l Desert combat, they just came out with version .6F. Im almost done downloading it as I type this. It looks great too. I love the aircraft in the game since there much easier to handle. They also have helicoptors which take a while to learn how to operate but give you a huge advantage
