I've heard that Intel Mbds work the best with the P4 , but have no idea which one to get. Thanks for any advice and suggestions.
Will be running XP Pro as my OS. Thanks

I'd say go with the Epox 875P Motherboard @ ~ $132.

I can't tell you how incredibly impressed I am with Epox's products. AMD and Intel.

I have the P4P800 deluxe right now with the exact same processor. Its a great price on Newegg and I bought mine for 65 refurbed and it hasnt failed me at all...The prices however have gone up to 80-85 but it still a great deal.

Do not get this mobo; get the P4C800-E Deluxe. Slightly different model name but huge difference. The P4C800-Deluxe has quite a few problems so ASUS released the P4C800-E deluxe, barely any difference in the specifications. I am currently trying to get a replacement P4C800 Deluxe because the one I had has AGP bus problems and random failure plus a dual channel problem. You should get the P4C800-E deluxe or another of ASUS's fine mobos such as the P4S800, P4P800 or the P4P800 Deluxe. I'd recommend the P4P800 Deluxe because it provides great performance for the $120 you'll pay for it. It's retail box includes the asus wifi proprietary card for the mobo allowing wireless networking if needed, it has SATA, HT, 8x agp, blah, blah, blah. Very nice board, and has the asus PC Probe that gives steaming temp, voltage and fan rpm info as well as having nice setting options. I'd go with ASUS because they are very sable and wonderfull proformers (I have 4 now).

ASUS released the "E" version to add ICH5R and allow more vCore voltage. Aside from that, I have heard very few problems of the P4C800.
