A little help, quickly

My entrie c: drive is being shared and I don't remember setting that up. When I tried to unsharing it. It says 2 files being opening by an user. I want to know if there's a way to tell who's or what PC is connected to the share. Thanks.

Just close all internet and network connections, restart the comp, and set the drive to non-shared.

Yes there is an option, on accesories --> System Tools, is a program that can check out the connections that are currently on the pc, dont remember the name now, if its not there, you need to add.

Go to Settings ---> Control Panel --> Add programs --> Add remove windows components.

With XP or 2000 you can right-click on My Computer then go to Manage. In the Computer Management box under System Tools there is a folder called Shared Folders. There you can see what you have shared, sessions (who's connected), and open files.

By default the root of c: is shared for admin purposes, so you'll see c$ as a hidden share.

man, do you have any grudges with somebody in your office? i think someone is seriously making your life miserable. temporarily disconnect your pc from the network before you lost everything. good luck.
