Viewing JPG on a DVD player

Ok I have a DVD player that says
" Random and programmable track playback for Audio CD, MP3, WMA and JPEG "

Now i guess that i have to have some sort of specific setup on the CD to view jpeg??? I have a CD that i burt that has pics that i took with my dig camera. I thought i could just pop the disk in and away i go. MY mp3 disk worked great... anyway what did i miss

txs

Vagabond, I wanted to do the same thing and found this program that you can make vcd's, screen shows and exe's with. I downloaded the trial and took almost all of my digital pictures and made a vcd that plays on my dvd player and my computer. It works pretty good.

Heres the link:

There's no audio. But to make a basic slideshow for a home DVD player, I use the new Irfanview (3.85) w/plug-ins. If you have Nero, you can do it with one button!

It's free and doesn't get any simpler. Just set the timing. You use the pause button to slow the slideshow down.

RayH,

Could you get us more details on precisely how you do all this? Where would you get the Nero plugin and how does that other software come into the picture?

implexant Just go to www.irfanview.com and get the program and plug-ins. It's pretty self-explanatory and intuitive. The slideshow feature is under FILE. The whole thing is free.

Irfanview is probably the best genuine freeware out there. It's a terrific graphics management program that I use for viewing of all my graphics and movie files.

The slideshow can be saved to disk as an autoexecute for another computer or as a VCD. It's one button. No thinking. You don't even have to know how to use the burner. Just pop the blank CD in.

The Irfanview made VCDs don't work on a computer. They work just fine on a DVD player supporting CD-Rs. The autoexecute works just fine on PCs. It can be easier than making a quick PowerPoint.

Just download and install Irfanview. I have Irfanview as the default viewer for all my still images. I usually don't make anything default.

Vagabond Irfanview 3.85 will do it. It's free and doesn't get any easier. If you want to, use CD RW disks.
