wireless connection problem

to get onto the wireless network, i have to go into the available wireless connections tab, and check "use windows to manage my connections" and then i will get on fine. after a few minutes of being on, it will say that there are more than 1 connections available, and i wont be able to surf. when you go into available networks, it just has the one there.

what i have been doing, is check the box to use windows, and once i get connected, i uncheck it, and that seems to work fine. it is just annoying to have to do that everytime i turn on the computer and such. any ideas or suggestions?

windows xp, orinoco gold wireless card in my laptop. i have tried this a on a few wireless areas, and it still occcurs.
