Trouble maximizing IE

My friend uses the free version of NetZero where it has a banner, but when she's not running NetZero, Internet Explorer still maximizes to the size it would be if the banner were there.

I hope this made sense. To show you what I mean, I attached a picture. The top part is where the banner would be. Anyone know how to get the window maximized normally again so that it takes up the whole desktop?

What you can try is hitting the middle button (the maximize button) so that it looks like a square (and not two little squares) so that it is ready to be maximized. Instead of hitting the button try and manually resize by dragging it. If this doesn't work I can write you a program to resize the window.

We've tried doing what you said. We manually resize it to fit the desktop, then when the maximize button is pressed it goes back to the smaller window shown in the attachment. It doesn't work....

tried the netzero site for help files or faqs? Could be a standard problem.

We skimmed through it, but not thoroughly.

It's okay, though. After a few reboots it started working as normal again.

trieder, I'd still like that program if it's okay, just in case....
