Simple DOS commands (I forgot)

I used to have my DOS set up on another machine where when I did a 'DIR' command it came out as "Dir /on /w /p"

I know how to set it up by going

set dircmd= /on /w /p

okay, but how do I get that to happen automatically when I open a DOS window (W98se)

do I just put that set command in the autoexec.bat?

Also I want doskey to already be on when I go into the DOS window...

Thanks, JP

figured it out

its just a case of editing the autoexec.bat

adding for example

for Doskey

C:\WINDOWS\COMMAND\doskey.com

and

set dircmd= /w /on /p

for the dir thingy.

Can be done right from msconfig autoexec tab
