graphics help urgent!

Hi, i am using an ASUS motherboard (to support my p3 933mhz) which has integrated graphics with 128 mb of pc-100 sdram. For some reason my computer will only run in 16 colors on 640 by 480 pixel resolution.

I can't get any higher resolutions or colours. I think this has something to do with the BIOS settings. I have tried several things such as changed the apperture etc.

Does anyone know how to achieve higher resolutions as i can hardly run internet explorer on this computer and thats all i need it for: the internet. Any ideas would be really helpful, thanks.

Have you tried installing the drivers for your onboard video? Leave the AGP Aperture set at 64MB's.

Well i'm not sure what the model is as no documentation came with it: this is all i know about it

its an ASUS, it has integrated graphics, sound, LAN, 2 RAM slots, support for p3 933mhz, 2 pci slots, and the board dates back to possibly 1998 as that's when the BIOS was created.

does this help at all?

look on the board and get the model number off of it, lol.

its probably between the pci slots

or look when you are booting up, there will be a long string of numbers, for instance something like

98735-0001-00023-P2-bf-0076

or anything similar to that

when you boot you can hit the "pause" button to pause the boot while you write those numbers down (hit "enter" to continue)

If you post hose numbers up here, someone can tell you what board it is and where to find the drivers.

go here for drivers http://www.asus.com/support/download...FX&Type=Latest

click on the "drivers" tab and scroll down a little for the display drivers.
