ATI Video Wonder VE

Are these PCI cards any good? They are running about 39.99AR in a few stores and I thought it sounded pretty good. I was thinking of using it to record shows to the HD and maybe burning to SVCD if its something good. What kind of quality can i expect? How much hard drive space does an hour of video take up?

You mean a TV Wonder VE? If that's the case usually the first thing people notice is that it's not stereo capable. I have the non-VE version and love it- though I've never done any capturing. You'll want the 7.9 version drivers if you can find'em.

I dont mind the no-stereo. Works pretty good. Be sure to use DScaler as the viewing program. It's freeware.

is there a capture card that will capture in stereo? is it worth it or is the non stereo ok?
