how do you remove the grub loader?

how do you remove the grub loader and restore the normal boot loader?

what operating system do you have? If you have XP or 2000, you can just put in the cd, boot from it, go into the dos promt, and type "fixmbr" I believe.

You can do the fdisk/mbr with a win98 bootdisk.It works with 2k and XP.

my floppy drive quit just recently so i cant use a bootdisk. i dont have enough money to get another yet.

okay used xp cd to access command prompt, after i figured out how to get to it (stupid confusing way to select it), and did fixmbr

I was able to do this in suse linux 9 yesterday, I had two installations of windows xp pro on two diferen't hdd's, and suse linux installed the MBR to the wrong HDD i was booting off of, so i was able to recover suse before having to redo it
It was fairly easy to restore and place lilo or grub on the other HDD in yast 2. I'm happy about that
