Wireless Network making it slower?

Hey, we just siwtched around our network becuase aparently the phone jack in my room need some tening to
But now I have the adapter that recieves the wireless internet, and when i play counter-strike, my ping is the same, but every few minutes the game just freezes for like 3 seconds, as if i had 10000000 ping, so I am wondering if it's because of the network?
It says it's 11Mbps and the one downstairs says it's 100Mbps, so I am assuming it is the network
I guess I will have to call up sympatico to fix my wall jack...grr

You got a microwave or cordless phone?

The cordless phone has a filter on it, but yes in the kitchen is where the other comp is and there is a microwave close by....
never took that into consideration, and tips?
mind you no one has used it while i've been playing
