NT Login Scripts

On Windows NT4 Server

Isn't there a global login script (one that executes for every user whenever they login)? If there isn't one then I have to modify a few by hand which is annoying but not hard. I would imagine Microsoft would have the common sense that some things would be the same in all login scripts, so have a global script but who knows.

What exactly do you want this "global script" to accomplish becasue geneally whatever you require is simple to write into a logon script.

I know I can just add it to a user's login script, but the whole purpose of a "global" script is to take common entries for all the users and put them in one spot. Not only that but say (for example) I want a certain program to run for everyone, I only add it to one script as opposed to editing 100 scripts.

As far as I know there is no way to assign more than one login script to a user in Win NT. One option though is to write your “global script”, save it as a .bat file and put in the startup of the computer.

Call your other scripts from the main login script, based on variables like OS, username and such. Then you assign one script to everyone. Kix is a big help with things like this.
