Unusual problem.

I have a friend that goes to a university. He has Windows 98SE and in on the lan connection set by the server. The server has a firewall connection called SonicWall. Thats the info I have. I can get more if needed. Now heres the problem:

Internet Explorer will not work. He gets a 404 error when he launches it. MSN Messenger will not work either.

Yet:

Netscape, Mozilla and Trillian will. I'm stumped on this and am hoping someone has a thought on it.

Go into Internet Properties and click on the Security tab. Set the Internet zone and the Local intranet zone to medium.

Try doing a repair on the internet connection.
