Update

Got an email from VisionTek saying that the card is a 9600 Pro 128mb Card.

I take it that this is compaprable to the GeForce4 ti4200SE? Or perhaps better?

I really appreciate all the time everyone has taken to answer my pesky questions!

If it is as you say, and a better card I am very happy.

The only problem with the Ti4200SE card was that the fan was making noise. And when I first emailed their tech support, they gave me a song and dance about not being able to RMA it without the reciept. They offered to give me a credit towards the purchase of another card as a choice, or just buying a new one flat out!

I was using my b/f's business email account and replied telling them that it was their card, with their name on it. I should not need a receipt, as it had their name and logo all over it as proof as to who's card it was.... and that I was disgusted that they would not stand behind their products. And I thought it was insane that they would expect me to spend more money to buy a new card from a company who did not stand behind their products.

Finally I told that their choices were unacceptable to me and that I had counter choices for them:
1) they stand behind their product, and repair the card.
2) The RMA is and replace the card.
3) I throw the card away, buy from their competitor, and tell everyone with ears how we (our business) was treated by their company.

After about four days, I got an email with an apology. Of course they would stand behind their products. Of course they would RMA it. And, of course they were very sorry for any inconvenience. So, I shipped them the card, with a 'handling' check for $10.00. They lost the card, and I had to send them the DC #. They just put it in the system that they got it back and I heard nothing for almost two months. So, I emailed asking where the he!! my repaired card was and they replied that I was getting a replacement of the 9600 Pro.

If it is a better card, I am Thrilled

Have fun playing games on your DX9 ATI card. I'm using a OC'd 128MB BFG Asylum Ti 4200, and let me be the 3921st person to say that the visual quality sucks in games like Halo and whatnot. It's also behind the curve, and I'll probably just save up for a 9800se now that I've been fed up with nVidia's crap.
