Kids Question Regarding My ASUS A7N8X Deluxe

Just a quick question...

I have the said motherboard, and it comes with a CD containing 'NVIDIA nForce2' files for the mobo. But, I have an ATI video card, so... Would it be wise to install these drivers?

Thank you.

I have the same motherboard. nForce2 is the chipset. Yes you will need to install those files on the CD or download the newest files for the onboard sound and the NIC. I am also running an ATI 9700 Pro at 8X with no problems.

i suggest downloading the newest drivers from nvidia

the older drivers have problems with cracking in games and some say there is an increase in preformance.

but it doesnt matter what video card you have. The drivers you will be installing will be for the chipset, the sound and usb
