I want to buy a Divx Player ...

And I'm looking right now at the Liteon LVD-2002 .

Have any of you guys have had any experience with this device or a similar device.!

I mean, I'm starting a collection of DVD's (I have like 70-something now) but I have a bunch of Divx movies on normal CD-R's so ... I don't want to connect my PC to my TV anytime I want to watch a Divx movie so I want to buy this box.

What do you guys think?
The old version LVD-2001 received good reviews but still I'm a little bit skeptical.!

BTW, the sooner you post the better (I want to buy this no later than tommorrow)

How much money do these devices cost? A laptop w/TV out is also convenient.

Well the highest price on the Lite On is like $130 or so.
It's very cheap!

This LiteOn Player is something like the KISS DVD Player available in the UK.
It plays DVDs, CDRW,CD-R, etc...

divx (which used to have all these cheap movies at circuit city a few years ago) is not the same as a DivX movie that you burned on a cd...but i dont know much else about those old ones

Maximum PC gave it praise for being one of the first DVD players to support Mpeg4(DivX) havent heard much else out of them yet but from my experience LiteOn normally makes good products and the price tag dosnt sound bad for a new Technology. If I needed a DVD player I would get that over anything else I have seen so far.

I heard negative stuff about the KISS player (namely it has bugs and stuff and the video freezes and all that) but I haven't heard nothing bad of this unit.!

Kinda of weird since I know that a lot of people have divx movies on their PC's.! Oh well.. maybe I'll do a review for techimo about this.!
