Outdoors 80gb SATA Drive Shows up during startup but not in windows

I just recently reformatted my dad's computer for some reasons.. we wont go into that.. but anyways...

We installed windows, motherboard drivers, raid drivers.. etc.. and the 2nd HD wont show up in windows... It shows up in the Promise RAID utility during startup, and it also shows 2 SATA drives in device manager.

Comp specs:

Win2k
MSI K7N2-ILSR
XP 2500+
512mb Corsair DDR3200
WD 36gb 10000rpm SATA (system)
80gb 7200rpm SATA (data)

Any ideas? There were files on the 80gb hd from prior to the reformat.

Welcome to TechIMO!!

Does it show up in Disk Management?

Right click My Computer > Manage > Disk Management.

Yes it does actually.. I had forgot about that. I had to 'import' it and it showed it as being 'foreign'.. What does that mean?
