Gaming athlon 950 on ecsk7vta3 ver.5

In my manual it says my kt333 will only do 133-166mhz fsb, this cpu is a 200mhz fsb, what should i do? plz pm me if you can help.

Your old Athlon is a _100_ MHz CPU. It might be possible that support for it has been dropped in more recent boards, but since until recently, all Durons were 100 MHz too, it's worth a try anyway.

wow..I think they meant it wont do MORE than 166. Ive never heard of one not supporting 100mhz fsb. Like peter said, Durons have 100fsb....I think they were trying to say it wont do 166fsb....seems they are assuming we all know they do 100fsb.

if you look at the product page for the ver 3.1 you see it says it handles "266/200" athons,durons etc

of course we could always just look at the CPU support page instead of guessing, lol.
