Kids Using Sytem Memory to powerup video card?

Greetings and salutations all,
I am learning the ways of the computer industry and was wondering if there is anyways to use my System memory and route it to my video card to make it more powerful. I'm also a hardcore gamer and my newest computer, which is an AMD Athlon XP 2000+ 1.67 ghz w/ 256 MB DDR SDRAM and a 32 MB DDR SDRAM Integrated Video chipset, my other computer has a GeForce4 64MB 440MMX card but it will not fit into this computer as it is a Compaq (the computer was a gift from a relative) Who has offered to buy a new video card for this system but I do not wish to wait another 6 months before they return from Tokyo. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
B

Welcome to the forum!

If your integrated video uses "shared" memory then you might be able to go into the bios and set it higher, like maybe on 64mb. But if its "shared" that means whatever you use is actually coming out of the 256....if you right click "my computer" and click "properties" how much ram does it show there?
