Question about laptop LCD's.

I have one laptop LCD, one "all-in-one" LCD, both attached to non-functional systems. The screens themselves, however, are in perfect condition and I'd hate to junk a nice 15" LCD for no reason.

Is there any way to convert these into accepting any sort of conventional analog or DVI signal?

supposedly it gets expensive/messy when working with the controller card trying to get it to accept vga.... possible? yes
practical? no, unless you dont mind spending more than its worth

if you want more info, i can get it for you, but most people find that they dont have the money, time, or electrical skills to do it...

Because of the imcompatability of these screens you can find them for 15 - 20 dollars on Ebay. It just costs too much in time and money to make it worth while.

That's what I'm not understanding. Why the problems? And can it be converted to DVI instead of VGA? Is that easier?

By "VGA" I mean the 15-pin analog version.
