Xbox DVD sound problems

I installed my xbox on my plane, but now when I play a dvd, I don't get any sound with the movie. I thought it might be the a/v cable or something, but I still get sound when playing games. I have tried everything, and nothing works. Could it be a software problem??

You have a private plane? I think your x-box needs to be on the ground
