BSOD When installing nforce usb ports

The computer detects the two usb ports then I restart my computer. It either just restarts by itself or have a BSOD.
Now I only have 2 usb ports left.
Also, anyone know how to get the front lights working on a case? the front usb ports?

USB pluggs that come with cases are not standard, you may have to check the pin arrangment.
If you mean your HD LED is not working, reverse the plugg on the MB

Oh, do you know how to install the front usb ports?yes it seems a bit different, it's like 4 pins for 1 usb

vcc usb1- usb1+ gnd
vcc usb2- usb2+ gnd

Seems to be nothing for 9 and 10?

9 and 10 are also ground, not always used.
If you know wich is power, it is usually a case of swapping the - and + wires, but you should get a wiring diagram.

the 5th pin on USB 2 is an extra ground for plugg 9 or 10 wich grounds the shielding on the cable. only one is needed because the shielding is connected at the other end

Thank you, now the front light works and my 2 integrated usb ports work.

By the way, is there anyway to make the HDD Led always stay "on"? Cuz it powers 2 red lights but it only turns on when it's doing something.
