ASP forms on our server have suddenly stopped working. We get this error message:

error '8002801d'
Library not registered.

/prospective/cform.asp, line 461

I know nada about ASP. Is there a quick fix to this?

BTW, here's line 461

if Request.form("Submit")="Submit" then

"Library not registered" messages often stem from a problem with Front Page extensions.

Have the IIS admin check/fix.

The root of this particular problem is that IIS is looking for the "request" object (since you're trying to access request.form). And the "request" object's functionality is provided by one of the dlls that make up FP extensions.

Thanks, Unc. A quick uninstall/reinstall if IIS cured the problem. But your analysis of the cause was spot on.
