i believe your processor doesnt support mmx instructions yet. please check your processor spec using sandra or cpuz.

thats a cyrix processor, it does not have mmx instructions.

Nonsense. First of all, VIA C3 is a Centaur core, not a Cyrix. Furthermore, both the Centaur and the Cyrix core have supported MMX long before they made the move from socket-7 to -370.

The problem rather lies in the software's own CPU detection getting things wrong.

Look for a software patch. Besides, the game runs slow and choppy because both your processor AND your graphics solution ARE slow. The program misidentifying the processor just adds a tiny little bit to the problem.

What you have there is a cheap and simple office productivity system, not a gaming rig. Not at all.

That's because with a PCI VGA on, the internal one still stays enabled and usable. Hence, your PCI VGA must be multi-display capable. Matrox cards have been for ages, ATi's have a good track record there, while plenty of even the most recent NVidia cards aren't.
